We recently celebrated the 25th annual Women in Construction Week (WIC Week) along with many in our industry. The concept of WIC Week originated with the National Association of Women In Construction, a professional association founded in 1953 by a group of 16 women in the Fort Worth, Texas, area who wanted to create a network for support and professional growth for fellow female construction professionals. For an industry that is still predominantly male, WIC Week offers an opportunity for us to recognize female leaders in our field and encourage others to consider that a career in construction can be rewarding for them as well. We’re excited to share the perspectives of several women on our team here!
